The CBR Network specializes in digital media production. We produce our own programming, as well as create promotional assets for and consult with external entities. Our projects have included audio and video podcasts, promotional reels, live streamed events, social media asset creation and more.
It has been quite an adventure, getting to where we are now! Check out a little history…
Phase I – The CodeBass Project – Foraging the Streams
The CodeBass Project blog was launched by Vicky Ryder on June 21, 2010. Its articles featured Internet professionals who specialized in media rich creative development, such as streaming applications and similar technology that was reaching a true state of consumerization.
Phase II – CodeBass Radio – A Stream of our Own!
From there, it became a collaborative proving ground known as CodeBass Radio, which includes a fully functional Internet radio station accessible via iTunes, Windows Media Guide, TuneIn, Apple TV and various other popular streaming applications and radio directories. CodeBass Radio sees a range of 1500 to 2800 unique listeners per month.
Unlike today’s typical Internet radio station, our team of geeks has been very involved in the technology that drives the many facets of our station. Over the years, we’ve built custom solutions for everything from players to task automation, show choreography to call-in solutions, on-site broadcasting to promotional scripting. Our program schedule consists of live radio shows, event streaming, podcasts, and more. We ran top notch, live-hosted music shows for a number of years. As it has never been our primary objective to thrive off music programming, the time came when it made sense to repurpose the cost and time into a 100% talk radio format.
Phase III – CBR Network – Video Production
Video has been part of our repertoire since the beginning. We were live streaming video via platforms such as Ustream within months after our 2010 inception, and we launched the CodeBass Radio YouTube adjunct channel around the same time.
As of March 2013, we officially launched the CBR Network YouTube channel for the purpose of accommodating video productions. In addition to podcasting, video has very much become a primary focus.
Vicky has been working hard to consolidate and reorganize, as she rebrands the organization. CodeBass Radio continues to exist under the CBR Network umbrella.
CodeBass Radio has been staffed by dedicated volunteers who share a love for creative development, media production and broadcasting technology. Our elite think tank has consisted of talented industry professionals who work at reputable corporations, such as Adobe, Red Hat, Wrecking Ball Media, and Mozilla. Many also regularly speak at conferences, manage user groups, author books and more. We have a variety of media partnerships and press adventures on our comprehensive list of accomplishments.
