Pardon the bump in queue so that I may bring rapid focus to an extremely cool project with a fast approaching deadline. It seems that Joseph Labrecque is gathering material for a community compilation CD project! Got a tune you want to contribute? Head over to the project site ASAP, as he is only accepting submissions until July 1, 2010!
Though it appears most contributors, to date, work with Adobe technologies, Joseph’s project is open to those and beyond. Joseph is considering this “a gift to the community from its own members”. A true community effort during which no money will change hands… not even to obtain the completed effort! If that’s not a kindred spirit to this cause, I don’t know what is?
Allow me to share a condensed bio on Joseph, as he is a multifaceted individual.
“Joseph Labrecque is primarily employed by the University of Denver as Senior Multimedia Application Developer. His responsibilities include a wide variety of undertakings with a specialization in development for the Adobe Flash Platform. He is also the proprietor of Fractured Vision Media, LLC; a local digital media production house specializing in rich media technologies. FVM also serves as a production and distribution vehicle for his many personal works including the dark ambient project “An Early Morning Letter, Displaced”. Joseph is an Adobe Higher Education Leader.”
Joseph certainly has a lot going on! You can check out his music at his blog.
